Starting Off a Long Term Link Building Campaign

Experience shows that there are two types of links that stand out as being especially valuable.

When you start off a long term link building campaign it is important to consider these carefully.

The first is PR Link Building which basically means linking a short article about your subject/company to as many of the important social networking sites, article posting and PR sites.

When you post these they will have a link back to your website within the article and this will count as a valuable inbound link.

Choose the sites carefully once you have gone for the obvious ones such as Facebook, Delicious, My Space, Digg, Mr. Wong etc.

After this post on the article sites and the PR sites, of which there are many with varying rules and regulations as to what they will accept.

If you wish to register for free use of a Link Building Software to be launched at the beginning of 2009 go to the enquiries page of CWA Europe.

The second type of Link Building which is also considered to be of a higher value is inbound links from well ranked websites, with some keyword relevancy.

So take for example your website has a page on Garden Tools, then it would be relevant to have inbound links coming from all garden related websites with a good page rank.

Talking about page rank, be very careful not to have outbound links (you linking to another website) to websites that may be considered low quality or worse still have been banned.

This is a real no-no as the search engines can really downgrade your website for choosing to link to the wrong kind of websites.

Finally make sure that for your inbound links you don’t link to irrelevant web pages.

It is worth taking the time to do keyword research to generate the right potential websites to approach and also a little bit of lateral thinking never goes amiss!

To know more about Online Marketing have a look at the CWA website.

Long Term Link Building

There’s no way to avoid it if you want to have a successful website, and whether you like it or not it will either cost you plenty of time or money. You have to find a long term link building strategy even if the whole subject seems like Double-Dutch to you at the beginning.

But if you take a step back and see link building in a simple, somewhat old-fashioned way, you will grasp it differently and this will lessen the technical jungle that you may feel you are venturing into.

Getting a long term link building strategy is a bit like what happens after you have opened a new shop.

You put plenty of planning into your shop; you’ve found a great interior designer, you’ve sourced great stuff to sell at good prices, and now you open up and not many people come in.

So your website is all singing and dancing, you’ve got great products and low prices and you can’t understand why your competitors are appearing high on the search engines and you’re not.

It boils down to the same issue – creating the right interest in a long term way.

For a shop you would probably have to invest a lot of money into advertising and old-fashioned public relations, while having niche or excellent value products that can maintain that interest. And eventually your reputation would increase by word-mouth-mouth.

But with a website it is much cheaper and actually easier. All you need to do is make sure you don’t expect it to happen overnight.

Start by writing interesting content ideally with a specialist angle, making sure it is neither too sales orientated or condescending. Set up a blog for your website and every so often write something new in the third person, so that it comes across as commentary.

Now start linking these new articles, every so often, to the social networking sites (Facebook, My Space, Digg, Delicious etc.) and article posting and PR sites.
This will have the effect of building very valuable links with relevant content while reaching out to a huge brand new audience gradually.

Some of this new audience will start to visit your shop/website, and some of them will tell their friends. Some of these people will bookmark your site also making it more important in the eyes of the search engines.

The Property Crisis - Relief Ahead

Let's be real. Regardless of the picture the papers, television and radio may paint about the economy and it's effect on the property market, it doesn't change the fact that we all need a place to live.

Instead, picture this. 137 m2 spread over two floors. Three spacious bedrooms, one fully equipped kitchen, one main and one on suite bathroom, top floor solarium, enclosure with private entrance, private parking and open access to a gorgeous swimming pool. Now, picture this beautiful property in the Costa del Sol between Marbella and Fuengirola, surrounded by world class golf courses.

Lastly, now picture yourself holding the key to the front door.

Seriously, it's more attainable then you think, even in these dire economical times. How? By buying one of these twelve remaining dream homes directly from the developer, Las Begonias.

Surveyed by the bank at €300,000, you can now purchase one for €280,000! This fantastic deal is made possible because when you buy direct from the developer you can avoid all of the extra fees that estate agents charge.

Not sure you can swing it right now but believe that it will be possible in a few years? Las Begonias has found a solution for that too! For a limited time they are offering a "rent to buy" option. When you sign a two year lease on one of these stunning homes, 50% of the rent that you pay would be taken directly off the principal, reducing the total cost by €12,000!

Now is the time to bring that picture to life by moving into your dream home today, just steps from the Mediterranean Sea on the welcoming Costa del Sol.

For more information visit Las Begonias.
